I Am Honored To Be An Ordained Minister In The International Pentecostal Holiness Church!

It is my joy to serve as Pastor Of Senior Ministries at South Henderson Church.

I have the privilege of leading a Wednesday Morning Service which starts at 10 AM. The service features Praise and Worship, Strong Prayer Emphasis, and The Old-Time Preaching Of God's Word.
Have you prayed for missionaries lately? May God bless those who are willing to leave their native lands, homes, and families, to go many times to a foreign country, learn a foreign language, and live under adverse circumstances; just so those who have never heard the gospel might learn of the wonderful love of Jesus and be saved. Join us this Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock for our service featuring Lydia Terry, missionary to INdia.
Although, some of the latest Praise choruses are sung, we enjoy bringing back the traditional hymns and keeping the Old-Time Religion alive. We also have a complementary lunch afterwords; and, yes, we even receive a free will offering. Of course, the service is designed for everyone; but, special emphasis is given to seniors and the disabled who are unable to get out at night or to attend evening functions. Because the service is at 10 in the morning, this also provides an opportunity for those in the community who may have other church obligations at the standard service times to be able to come in and join our fellowship as well. This, indeed, has proven fruitful. The Lord continues to bless us as we enjoy His presence. The ministry and fellowship continue to grow and we Praise Godfor that! By the way, a church alive is worth the drive!so come and join my wife Peggy and I, and the wonderful congregation for a service, Soon!

We take our ministry outside of the church walls into community nursing homes and retirement centers

I am truly humbled and thrilled to have been chosen by BrittHaven Nursing Home of Henderson, North Carolina to be the recipient of their 2007 Volunteer Of The Year Award. I give God the praise for this and any other jesture of kindness which has been extended to me. May God continue to bless the staff and the residents of all of the Nursing and Retirement Homes; as well as, those of you who are sick or disabled in the hospital or your home!

Here is the current nursing home ministry schedule:

BrittHaven Nursing Home, at 1245 Park Avenue in Henderson, NC, beginning at 10:30 AM on the first Monday of the month.
Senior Citizens Nursing Home on Ruin Creek Road, Henderson, NC on the second Tuesday of the month, beginning at 11 A.M This service is held weekly and is sponsored by the North Henderson Baptist Church. When I'm not having the program on the second Tuesday, I'm usually helping out with the music at other times.
Toney's Rest Home, 904 Raleigh Street In Oxford, North Carolina; on the second Thursday of the month at 2 PM; currently inactive; please, pray that means will be made to enable me to return to minister to these wonderful people!
Oxford Manner Nursing Home on Prospect Avenue in Oxford, NC, on the second Friday of the month beginning at 10 a.m. This is one of our largest and most excited groups. They really Get With It and worship the Lord.
Court Yard Apartments #1 on South Cooper Drive in Henderson, NC on the second or third Tuesday of the month as time slots are available, beginning at 7 PM; call or email for exact dates.
Court Yard Apartments #2 on South Cooper Drive in Henderson, NC on the fourth Tuesday of the month, beginning at 7 PM; this group is smaller than some, but they really support our Wednesday morning and other nursing home services.

This is a Ministry of Faith and a Labor of Love. Because of the nature of these ministries and the wonderful people to whom god allows me to minister, there isn't much financial compensation. However, God is always faithful to supply the needs. I hope to continue working for our Lord until He calls me home or until He comes again to Rapture His saints. Amen!

I have been blind

since shortly after birth in September of 1957, when I received too much oxygen concentration which almost destroyed the retinas of my eyes. This has left me with only light and shadow perception. However, I don't want any one to feel sorry for me; because, Jesus Christ is my Light, and I am happy to share Him with EVERYONE around me.

His Salvation is like my web site, it is Simple. Know, and believe that He died for you on that old rugged cross, that He rose again and is now in heaven pulling for you; just, waiting for you to ask Him to come into your heart and save you. That's Right! Just ask Him right now to come into your heart and life. Tell Him that you're sorry for the way you've lived; and, promise by His help, to live for and serve Him the rest of your days. Hobbies, Humor, Help, And Home Interests!

Though many experiences have crossed my path, I enjoy a down-to-earth lifestyle, along with my wife Peggy, our parrot Jacksie, and our two dogs Lucy, and Tiny; Living in Henderson, NC; which, is about 45 miles north of Raleigh. In addition to preaching, singing, and playing in churches of various denominations where ever the opportunity arises, there are about 6 nursing homes that I enjoy visiting and ministering in each month, as you can tell by the schedule above.

I enjoy preaching, playing gospel music, people, pets, pc's, radio scanners and talking gadgetts of all sorts, giving folks a good laugh and uplift and not having to be dirty about it, and plain old good clean life and fun! I am an extra class ham operator, AE4XK, and enjoy helping other blind and disabled people get on the web and be exposed to the vast world of information, pleasure, and fellowship, which has been missing for so many of them. It has even been my privilege to teach other blind people the use of their computers and access technology. Access Technology is any piece of software or hardware which allows a blind or disabled person to have access to information presented on the pc screen, which would otherwise be unavailable to them.

Some of you have posted email requesting us to send you printed Bibles or other literature. I'm sure you can find some wonderful organizations who can help you in this regard. While the printed page is still quite effective in ministry outreach, I feel that the Lord would have our ministry operating in church, senior groups, and on the internet. Besides, what would a blind man do with printed literature? Smile!

We know that it is the Lord who gets all the GLORY for, He has done great things. I love people of all races and color; and, believe that they Can and Should worship together. Isaiah chapter 56 and the last part of verse 7 says, "Mine House Shall Be Called An House Of Prayer For All People." In one of the last prayers of Jesus before He went to the cross, He said, "That They May Be One, Even As We Are One," John 17:22. God is like me, He is BLIND when it comes to color. He sees the Heart, not the color of the skin!
