Four Part Christian Harmony!
Galatians chapter 5 verses 13 through 15:
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
- Liberty speaks of the Tenor part; care must be taken to keep it from showing itself above the others.
- Love speaks of the Lead part; it is the basis for all good harmony, whether in music or relationships.
- Law speaks of the baritone part; it doesn't have much merit by itself, but is used to balance the other parts and make them sound good.
- Loyalty speaks of the Bass part; it, too, has to decide whether to draw attention to itself, or to be part of the overall building of a wonderful sounding performance!
