LOVING GOD AND LOVING YOUR NEIGHBOR!
Matthew chapter 22 verses 35 through 40:
then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commendment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
- The priority of it; it's the greatest of all the commandments.
- The position of it; it supports all the law and the prophets.
- The practice of it; it is to be done with all the heart, soul, and mind.
Application: That which was presented to tempt Christ ended up giving us one of the most profound, yet easy to understand principles of the Christian life!
