Loving Jesus And Keeping His Commandments!
In John chapter 14 and verse 15, Jesus said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
When this happens, several things can be expected, according to First John chapter 3 verses 20 through 24:
We will have a pure heart and a clear conscience, verses 20 and 21:
For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward god.
We will have a prayer life and a testimony that is pleasing to god, verse 22:
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
We will have a plain path and an uncomplicated way for living, verse 23:
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
We will have a presence of god because of the indwelling Spirit, of which the unbelieving world knows nothing about, verse 24:
And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
