Psalm 51 verse 7, Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. (hyssop is a plant which was used to apply blood) John 15:2b, And every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Second Chronicles 34:3, For in the eighth year of his reign, while he (Josiah) was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father: and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images. Psalm 65:3, Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.
