The Author And Finisher Of Our Faith!

Introduction: The road between the authoring and finishing of our faith was a long one. Several things had to be accomplished and a few landmarks had to be passed to complete the journey.

Hebrews Chapter 12 Verse 2:

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of god.

1. He had to come to earth and be born as one of us.
2. He had to live a perfect life in the face of all opposition.
3. He had to die as the sin sacrifice for the whole world.
4. He had to be raised from the dead and sit at God's right hand in heaven.
5. He never lost sight of the joy that was set before him.
6. He endured the cross and all its suffering.
7. He despises the shame of sin and will still judge those who do not allow him to forgive them of it.
